We have little doubt that with regular supplies of 011 arriving we could work up an increasing and profitable business for you and therefore hope Mr. Sanders will see his way clear to grant- ing the very reasonable conditions our London friends require in
their agreement.
We must express our sympathy with you in the trials and
hindrances your business has suffered in the South of China, not the least troublesome of which is your experience with the cargo held by Messrs Reuter, Brooklemann & Co. at the outbreak of hostili- ties between Great Britain and Germany. Unfortunately Messrs R. B. & Co's funds, like those of most other "Enemy" firms, were so involved that - we understand it has proved mell-nigh impossible
